Personal Interests
Music has been a part of my life ever since I joined band in fifth grade. Since then I have been fortunate to have the opportunity of perform in a multitude of ensembles in high school and at the University of Mary.
The diverse experiences I've been fortunate enough to receive have been instrumental in developing my personal philosophy of music and education. I have learned through my classmates and directors that each ensemble takes care and personal motivation to succeed. From choir to steel band, and band to small ensembles I have enjoyed the opportunities to enhance my skills on a multitude of instruments. Tours across the country have allowed me to see and experience various sights and events through my years at the University of Mary. International Band Clinics in Chicago, tours to different states and even to Canada, and the chance to perform with some of the best college students in the state. The things I've gained will help me for years to come.
For many years I have also been involved in taekwondo in my hometown of Williston North Dakota. I received my black belt in 2009 and have been involved in different classes and tournaments for years. I have had wonderful experiences working with children and adults alike who wish to learn self defense. From women's self defense classes to sport workouts preparing for tournaments I have had many opportunities to participate in this wonderful program.
